While in London I sat down with Carolina Melis an incrediable talent from: Sardinia! Carolina works with a team of traditional Sardinian weavers who make all her carpets for the Mio Karo "Four Seasons" collection. The carpets are made using a weaving technique most commonly found in the eastern and central regions of Sardinia called Pibiones, that involves twisting of the thread as it's woven, creating a type of raised relief. Compared to traditional Sardinian carpet weavings these carpets are unexpectedly light and incredibly soft. They can be used on the floor or even as hangings for the wall.
