Rizzoli's a new book of Mark Shaw's photography for Dior

Dior Glamour 1952–1962

Von Ambra Medda

Covering a decade of Dior's haute couture photography, Rizzoli's new book Dior Glamour: 1952 - 1962 presents a stunning collection of photographs by the legendary Mark Shaw, including some of the first ever fashion photographs to be taken in color.

Each page is such a pleasure to pore over. With 140 color and black & white photographs capturing the luxury and elegance of the exquisite garments, from editorial style photos to behind-the-scenes shots with Christian Dior during fittings, and with many of the photographs having never been published previously—they were recently found in a hidden vault by Mark Shaw's estate—this collection feels like an incredible treasure.
