Cédric Ragot

French industrial designer Cédric Ragot was born in 1973. He attended the École nationale supérieure de création industrielle (ENSCI-Les Ateliers), graduating in 1999 with a Master’s degree. He established his eponymous studio in 2002 in Montreuil, France.

Ragot’s eclectic portfolio ranges from consumer electronics and tableware to furniture, sports equipment, and beyond. His client list features brands such as Bitossi Ceramiche, Artuce, Swarovski, Galerie MiniMasterpiece, Krups, Roche Bobois, LaCie, Häagen-Dazs, and Paco Rabanne Parfums, among others. Notable Ragot projects include the porcelain Hyper Fast vase, described by Ragot as an “archetypal Ming vase frozen in digital acceleration,” which was originally created in a limited edition in 2003 and then altered and mass-produced as Fast Vase for Rosenthal in 2007; Geometry Ring, a limited-edition silver accessory for Galerie MiniMasterpiece (2013); and Naturally Clicquot, a design for 100% biodegradable, isothermal bottle packaging for Veuve Clicquot (2013), using bio-based material derived from potato starch.

Ragot’s work has been included in a variety of exhibitions at prestigious museums and galleries around the globe, including Galerie S. Bensimon in Paris; Guangdong Museum of Art in Guangzhou, China; Galerie Ymer & Malta in Paris; and the Museo Poldi Pezzoli in Milan, among others. His many honors include the 2014 Fragrance Foundation Award for Best Design for the perfume bottle for Invictus by Paco Rabanne; a 2012 Red Dot Design Award for the Krups 3 Mix 5000 Deluxe Handmixer; a 2008 Wallpaper* Design Award; and a 2007 GOOD Design Award for Fast Vase.

Ragot lives and works in Montreuil.
