1st Edition Camaleonda sofa by Mario Bellini for C&B Italia, circa 1970s. C&B Italia was the initial manufacturer which later became B&B Italia. So this therefore this is a 1st edition sofa. The sofa features four seat elements with three back-rests and two arm-rests. The three Scacci (Italian for chess) elements are available but not included in this listing. These elements are designed by Bellini to complement the Camaleonda sofa and can be used as coffee or side tables or as decorative pieces. The Camaleonda became instantly famous when introduced at The New Domestic Landscape held in the MOMA Museum in 1972. This ‘landscape’ sectional sofa is flexible in use. The sections can be used separate or together. The backs and armrests are attached with rings and carabiners and rope which allows for them to be placed wherever necessary. The sofa can also be expanded with additional Camaleonda sections. All seat pieces are labeled. The sofa features: Original fabric. Es handelt sich also um ein Sofa aus der 1st Edition. Das Sofa hat vier Sitzelemente mit drei Rückenlehnen und zwei Armlehnen. Die drei Scacci-Elemente (italienisch für Schach) sind erhältlich, aber nicht in diesem Angebot enthalten. Diese Elemente wurden von Bellini als Ergänzung zum Sofa Camaleonda entworfen und können als Couchtisch, Beistelltisch oder als Dekorationsstück verwendet werden.
