The AEO chair was the last product of the Archizoom group and was designed by Paolo Deganello in 1973 as an unconventional interpretation of a contemporary armchair. Using experimental materials, the piece was originally available for self-assembly. A wide range of upholstery options were offered, increasing the chair's personalization potential. AEO is the quintessence of functionality and versatility, making it typical of a Cassina piece in that it can be disassembled and washed, while being lightweight and comfortable and the perfect partner for any space and style. All AEO armchair variants were 2 color design, with a seat cushion in second color. Here we offer an early version in leather, with the original light blue seat cushion and a second black seat cover in soft black leather.
We are showing an early version of the AEO armchair from a collector's possession. The chair has been used and appears to be from the 1970s. The black leather throw has signs of wear, especially in the armrest and backrest area above. The furniture shows no structural damage and can be used with 2 pillowcases in the seat.
Plastic base, square steel tube painted, solid square spring steel, painted, bent steel tube and painted, seat fabric panel, leather upholstery attached and loosely placed cushion, leather-covered. There is a black and a blue leather pillow case included.
